Surf Shack Baby asked NetThink 21 to design another t-shirt graphic for their line of surf and island themed clothing. The creative breif called for a design that would appeal to little girls based around the phrase “Sweet As Guava Jelly”. A jar of home-made guava jelly purchased in Saint Maarten provided the inspiration.
We presented two design concepts, shown below. The design on the left is based on psychedelic concert posters and intended for multi-colored printing. The design on the right is more straightforward with smaller lettering and designed to be printed in a single color.
Surf Shack Baby preferred the single-color design and ended up printing it on their entire range of girls and infants clothing, from onesies to lap tees to tank tops. You can purchase Sweet As Guava Jelly clothing from them on their website.
